Just got the update. (Thanks to svolskiy for telling us how to turn the music off).
I really love what they’ve done with the board. However, on my iPhone OS 3.1 (that’s only a couple of months old) the game is extremely choppy now. I’m hoping for any update so it gets back to the smooth animation I’m used to.
WWP is now more a balanced game.
I need to load it twice each time I want to play tough.
After the first time the program closes.
I use 3.0 on iphone3g.
Great job on WW. Not just the music and camera options, but also fixing the overly sensitive bumper inside the bank robbery that almost always kicked the ball out, installing the one-way street the prevents unavoidable drains and actually making small missions for the “get mission” target. I’ve always like WW for its old-school simplicity — and in many ways it played just like a real bare-bones machine from the 60s — but it’s much more enjoyable now.
I LOVE the updates on both games! Now I don’t have any reason to turn off the voices because the “damn” and “I’m in deep s” are gone! Now I can just sit back and enjoy the cheesy-ness of the German accent. I was cracking up when I heard the WWP “original” soundtrack. It’s made, I think, entirely out of Garageband loop tracks. But it still sounds good. Gameprom is now my favorite app developer!
CHAD: so you have the game and you can play it on your iphone/ipod, but there isn’t a tab under “library” that says applications. Click edit> prefrences> then check applications under “show:” so go to that tab and click updates available. Then it shows all of the updates that are available for your apps. The link there says “update” not “buy”.
I’f you’ve never gotten an application before then you’ve never done this.
WWP update has increased the fun in that game if only for the new sound.
But still I wonder about two things:
When I used to play real pinball tables I was able to alternate the 3 lights at the top of the table with the right flipper. In WWP there is such an area of 3 lights at the top in the Indian Village. But hitting the right flipper does nothing. In The Deep there is a similar area with the same problem. Are you planning to add this possibility for more realistic simulation of a pinball table?
The second thing I’m always wondering is if the world high scores are real or fabricated. In WWP at least it is so difficult to get a good score that I can only think they are fabricated. Do you check for abuse of this kind and do the needful from time to time?
Fantastic pinball games, Gameprom! If I can find any real fault in them, I’d just like to know how I managed to score extra balls and maybe the scoreboard made a little more obvious to what the bonuses are and from what they come from.
Still…it’s really difficult to find fault with these. You guys really do an awesome job. I got two awesome pinball games for less than half the price I got “Mystery Mansion Pinball” on the iPod Nano and they are better quality. I miss the video modes and multiball, but hey, I’d take these two over that one any day.
Maybe you guys can come up with a good “haunted” theme of your own…hmm…
I like almost everything about this updated version except for one HUGE problem: The multipliers no longer work!
For example, the way it worked in 1.0, if I got the multipliers to 5x and then went into the bank, each bumper would score $10000 (= 5 x $2000). Now, the bumpers stay at $2000.
I’m using an iPod Touch. I first noticed this problem under OS 2, so I updated to OS 3, with no success. Please fix this – I *LOVE* multipliers! (but only if they work properly).
Nice updates, both. Wish that you could move the lights for bumper multipliers by hitting a button, as on flipper tables in general. Also, WWP would be nice – or, really, vital – to save and resume on phone calls!
Thanks for a couple of great games!

This might be a stupid question… how do you turn off the voices in The Deep? I can’t find a way – probably staring me right in the face though!

Nice (iPhone-like) implementation of the zoom function. I personally really like the standard zoomed in version, but this should make everyone happy!

Can’t wait for my morning commute tomorrow. I love playing on the subway.
And thank Jeebus you can switch the WW music off. That stuff is even more of a nightmare than the downtempo lounge medley on TDP.

Can anybody tell me what, exactly, the Deep Dockyard targets are multiplying when they’re lit up? 2.5 x what?
