Seriously Looking Forward to this new Version!!
August 17th, 2009 at 1:37 am (#)
I know it must be really close to being published because the icon and pictures in the itunes app store say “improved” but it’s not the new version. I can’t get it till they put the GAME and not just the pictures on itunes.

Where is the update? The game is unplayable without being able to widen the screen. Useless without it at the moment.

WWP 2.0 UPDATE has gone to Apple!
August 25th, 2009 at 12:46 pm (#)
Yea we know it has gone to Apple, we are just wondering why it is taking so long, are there a lot of bugs they are finding and requesting you guys to fix. I know The Deep Pinball was released with quite a few errors.
August 25th, 2009 at 1:22 pm (#)
2 homer:
It’s normal when review takes over two weeks. waiting…
PS: in The Deep Pinball no errors. Language mistakes – yes, errors – no!
August 26th, 2009 at 4:00 am (#)
Looking through the comments on TDP’s release, I would say there are quite a few errors besides typos and misspoken words.
August 26th, 2009 at 12:55 pm (#)
But what errors are you talking about? Honestly, I’ve been playing TDP since the First Hour it was released, and I’ve haven’t experienced even a single moment of “weirdness” of any kind.. Nothing.. No errors at all!
If someone is having problems, all I can think of is that they’re either not running the game on a device using iP-OS 3.0, or that they may need to just restart/reboot their device after installing the game, and before playing it for the first time.
All I know is that it’s been playing for Me Perfectly.. 100% Error Free. Believe me, if I had come across any errors while playing this, I’d be one of the first people to mention it, both here and in the App Store.. Trust Me on that.

I have the earl version of Wild west pinball from Itunes why have I not recieved the update to new version and cannot find original on itunes
August 26th, 2009 at 5:15 pm (#)
To that guy who obviously plays too much, did you not read the comments and see some of the errors people are posting or did you decide to just respond without checking those out? Read about any of the cheat exploits that are spreading in regards to TDP? Would those not be errors? So just because your experience has been error free (to your knowledge) the game is not flawed? That’s like those Pinto drivers you see who think that just because their car hasn’t blown up, it’s all good.
August 27th, 2009 at 12:22 am (#)
I needed to re-setup my iphone and now I’m missing WWP in the german store. Is it taken out until the new version will be released?
August 27th, 2009 at 12:38 am (#)
2 Trunken:
yes
August 27th, 2009 at 2:50 am (#)
To Homer:
I’m “that guy who obviously plays too much”. But I ask, “Too Much, or Not Enough?”. Hehe. Seriously, I’m a Mobile Game Tester.. it’s what I do, and I Totally Enjoy it, Thank You Very Much.
But back to the topic, I had asked what errors YOU where talking about, not what others claim to be error. Contrary to your assumption, I HAVE been reading the comments that others have been making since the game dropped.. I make it a point to read them and see if the same thing happens for Me.
I don’t consider “cheat exploits” to be an error, because if you’re playing the game Honestly and for YOU, than it doesn’t really matter if someone else is cheating or messing with the app on their own device, does it? There’s always going to be someone out there exploiting some kind of vulnerability in a program, whether it be a game or an entire operating system. But again, those aren’t error, that’s just the result of someone intensionally being a douche.
I also don’t consider things like the top lain lights not being movable an error. That just may be the way the table is designed.. there’s no “Pinball Law” that says a table has to be designed that way. Same goes for the very top lights not give extra points, or going down a lain with a pin not giving you points. These are features that can be included or not by the developer.. things that don’t “disrupt” the gameplay in any way, and can always be added or enabled later on, with updates.. or not.
I consider an “error” when something happens, that’s definitely not normal, that makes you say “Wtf!?”. Like say, the ball going right down a out line when it was clearly headed in a different direction. Another would be if all the game lights stayed on or off after hitting them, and not reseting. Or the most obvious error of all.. the game crashing. I haven’t experienced not one moment like that with this game.
But Again.. if YOU are having any Weirdness Issues with the Game, than Please post them here so I can check on them for Myself.. fair enough?
PS: A Pinto only Explodes when it gets hit from the rear. So the moral of that story is to be sure to Cover Your A$S.:P LoL
August 27th, 2009 at 3:08 am (#)
Wow that looks like a fantastic update! I love this game (got it for free on the promo) and as a result bought The Deep.
Greta work, keep it up! (and make more pinball games!!)
August 27th, 2009 at 4:35 pm (#)
Sorry didn’t know I was debating with an ESL. Carry on wayward son.
August 28th, 2009 at 8:46 am (#)
ESL?? HAhaHaHAha!!! That’s Awesome!! I’m Going to use that in My Signature from now on.. Love it! XD
Well, Forgive Me for My Grammatical Errors, Friend. I Should have typed “Lane” or “Out-lane” instead or “Lain” or even worse, “Line”.
That, and other things, like making “error” plural in some spots. But I’m Human.. mistakes are part of the package.
PS: Big Thanks Again for the ESL Comment.. that was WAY Great! I guess the “E” stands for “Eng-rish”, huh? LoLoL! XD
August 29th, 2009 at 4:55 am (#)
why wild west is disappear in itunes? :O
August 29th, 2009 at 4:48 pm (#)
I’ve had the right flipper to get locked up a couple of times with the ball trapped between it and the rail. I eventually had to exit the game. Overall, it’s a good game. I wished their was a manual that fully explained every small detail of the game (e.g. How do you win a free ship/ball?).
August 29th, 2009 at 4:49 pm (#)
Ooops, I meant to leave the above in the discussion about TDP not WWP — sorry.
August 30th, 2009 at 5:39 pm (#)
Ughhh, I’m confused.
- Is TDP 1.1 out or not? I’m getting mixed messages, like “Bubbles” is saying that he’s got the game.
- Why has WWP dissappeared from the App Store?
Thank-You!
August 31st, 2009 at 1:55 pm (#)
2 Charlie:
Temporary WWP will be available only in US and Canada AppStores.
September 2nd, 2009 at 4:05 am (#)
Haha, woops. Ignore my previous statement. Can that comment please be deleted?
What I meant to say is that I’m really looking forward to this update. When do you think we’ll see it?
September 3rd, 2009 at 6:04 am (#)
Where the $&!?@ is the update
September 3rd, 2009 at 6:05 am (#)
Where is it
September 3rd, 2009 at 6:43 am (#)
pogosov, maybe you can give us some insight on why it is taking so long- did you use any bad words that Apple rejected?
Or are the approvers playing pinball and forgot to approve the update.
September 3rd, 2009 at 10:37 am (#)
WWP and TDP are both great, but each has undeniable errors. WWP has had the ball stick to the side of the table when trying to pull it in to “shoot Harry”. TDP has scoring irregularities, jerky gameplay, camera tracking issues, negative voice track triggers on innocous events, like lighting the top light for “the hunt” on the left side of the main lane etc. I’m a pinball fanatic and have no reservations saying these two games blow away all the others on overall quality, artwork, physics, and sound effects (minus the voice on TDP. Most lame and unnatural voice track ever). It does appear that TDP 1.1 and WWP 2.0 will address most if not all of these issues, however. I eagerly await the updates, and thanks to Gameprom for the great pinball!
September 3rd, 2009 at 12:57 pm (#)
two days ago both updates rejected by reviewers from Apple because whey not found option camera on/off…it’s true, no such option in setting, camera option available only in game and can be toggled by pinch (like you zoom in and zoom out in Maps.app). So, we changed description and upload binaries in to Apple…
September 3rd, 2009 at 4:29 pm (#)
I got a position with the game blocked. It is with the ball catched by the mechanism of the hole of Kill Dirty Harry, but the ball is close to the exit from the Bank Robbery, so it can not go alone or automatically to the Kill Dirty Harry hole. I have the capture of the screen for this, but I don’t have an email address where to send it to you.

hey pogosov
Do you think it will take 2weeks even though the have seen the updates already??
September 4th, 2009 at 2:45 am (#)
Here is a short cnet story about the app approval process
http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-10315328-37.html
First of all, it’s a monstrous administrative challenge. Apple says it receives 8,500 new applications and updates to existing ones every week. There are 40 people responsible for reviewing every application submitted and each app gets reviewed by two people. Eighty percent are approved as submitted with no changes necessary, and 95 percent of applications are approved in two weeks or less. In total, since the App Store was opened last year, Apple says it has evaluated 200,000 apps and updates.
If you do the actual math, the task is sort of mind-boggling. Forty people looking at 8,500 apps and updates during a regular five-day work week comes out to approximately 212 apps per week. But since each app gets evaluated by two different people, that doubles the load to 424 apps per week, or about 85 apps per day. Assuming a standard eight-hour workday (which, let’s be honest, is probably not what these employees are getting away with), that comes out to each member of the App Store team reviewing an app every six minutes.
I would like to add- if I could have a fulltime job just approving apps- I would take it- I would assume Apple pays well for the position.

haha…looks like in Apple’s appreview team working league of super heroes

I hope the process doesn’t take this long the second time around. Looking forward to the updates! Thanks for keeping us updated, pogo!

hi guys, many thanks for 2nd best app for iPhone (only after Lighsaber :])!
i mistyped my nickname at the beginnig (well, typed some random letters to get started asap!) and now i wanna change it.
how can i do this??
September 9th, 2009 at 4:19 pm (#)
It’s almost as if I said “I know The Deep Pinball was released with quite a few errors.(Aug 25th)” to which I was told
“PS: in The Deep Pinball no errors. Language mistakes – yes, errors – no!
” by pogo
and then “two days ago both updates rejected by reviewers from Apple….(due to errors)”
I’m just sayin’ :p
September 9th, 2009 at 7:13 pm (#)
2 Homer:
Apple rejected updates because can not found in games option to toggle camera view, this is the mistake in description. I told you again: in our games no errors
September 11th, 2009 at 5:36 am (#)
sweet…..jungle style pinballs coming soon awesome!
September 11th, 2009 at 11:07 am (#)
If I was gameprom I would ban homer from these updates. After all, like a stand up comic once said…” Do I come to your work and tell you how to sweep up?” LOL!
In my best eastern euro accent… YOU GET NOTHEENG!
September 12th, 2009 at 3:03 am (#)
Why hate on me for pointing out the facts? In America, we would consider an incorrect description in the game(s) to be an error. Your eastern euro impression had me rollin’ RiverOnFire…… :/ I’m sure you threw up the devil horns after you wrote that and moshed around your room. How I wish I was as E-cool as you.
September 12th, 2009 at 1:38 pm (#)
Glad you liked the joke so much. Here’s a little short story I’m working on…..you may enjoy it as well.
This guy (let’s call him Gomer) goes to a store and buys a product for under a buck. As it turns out he just bought the highest customer rated product of it’s kind in the store!!! His lucky day for sure! But then suddenly, to his horror, he discovers a misspelled word on the package. GASP! Suddenly it’s all he focuses on. He no longer can enjoy this amazing product or see it for the truly great value it is. He contacts the manufacturer immediately to bitterly complain and demand admission and some sort of apology. When he doesn’t get a response from the company he steams and compares the product to one of the worst cars in the history the automobile industry THE PINTO!!!. He continues on to berate anyone who DARES to contradict him. Sadly for Gomer it’s not a good ending. He just can’t get over his pettiness and he gets so angry that he spontaneously combusts. The end.
I’m still working out the kinks of the ending. I’m thinking about making this into a children’s story. I think there’s a lesson in there somewhere….
September 12th, 2009 at 2:05 pm (#)
HAHAHAHAHA!! XD XD
I LOVED Your Story, RiverOnFire!! Now I want to see it made into a movie. LöL!
Good Deal, Friend.
September 12th, 2009 at 7:26 pm (#)
Wow……just wow. I didn’t know I could be so….so……E-ownt. I will leave here forever now…shamed. I hope you and your life-partner Bellshock will forgive me. I <3 you.
September 12th, 2009 at 8:13 pm (#)
It’s a real pinball competition
September 13th, 2009 at 11:53 am (#)
Gomer: Really? That’s it? That’s the best you’ve got! LOL!!!! Guess the ending to my story was right on track.
bellshock: Every time I hit the paddles in TDP now I scream… ERROR! ERROR! ERROR!
svolskiy: Sorry, nothing to see here. He forfeited the game. Guess I was too good.
Moral of the story? It’s too easy for people to log into blogs like this and be jerks without any accountability. My guess is that Gomer is probably a decent guy in real life. He just forgets his manners and gets E-stupid.
That was fun. Thanks Guys! (Yes, I’m taking a bow)
September 14th, 2009 at 12:49 pm (#)
HAHAHAHHHHHHHHHH!!! XD XD XD
September 14th, 2009 at 1:31 pm (#)
That’s enough, guys.
Go somewhere else with such chat, please.
October 24th, 2009 at 11:52 pm (#)
Will there ever be a complete description of the game?. I mean every small feature and detail.
