Those drop targets above the whirlpool are worth going for, as they will reset the gates on the side alleys. I often find after going down the side alley, that the whirlpool will help you to get those drop targets. You need all 3 lit to reset the gates.
great game - but I'm still struggling to get more than 14 million....

I like this game a lot!
Only game I play in my iPhone frequently.
As some other users said, it lacks logic in some spots not being directly accessible.
It could use acceleromter a little more (with vibrating feedback) to help avoid balls between flippers.
An official Tips n Tricks page would be very good to help users improve their scores.

Thanks for keeping improving this great game!!!

I think completing the red mission is worth at least a million, not really sure exactly how much. But after that there are no more stages or missions for points. Almost seemsl like you are better off not completing the red mission so if you lose a ball you can complete 2 more stages for credit on the next ball.

I find it hard to balance completing missions and going for points. I have scored over 30 mil only completing the green mission and I have scored as little as 20 mil completing all 4.

I think the balance is to focus on points 70 % of the time and take the stages if they happen naturally.

Jeff - you say that you have once completed all missions. What is the reward for this? Thanks.

Just to clarify, I know how to pause the game, I just have to start all over, even after I pause it, if I leave the App or answer the phone.

Thanks, Tom

I wonder if there is a way to activate a pause of some sort that allows me to continue a game if I have to leave the app for a different activity or answer the phone?

Thanks, Tom

I have been addicted to this since it came out. Best score of 30M and can usually complete the green and blue missions, sometimes yellow and only once got all four done.

I like the tougher stages you get in the yellow and red missions but seem to always get stuck in the green or blue when the goal is to clear the three drop targets above the whirlpool. Just getting the ball on whirlpool is difficult and seems like a matter of luck. Then you get one or two chances to shake it and hope it hits the drop targets. Any hints on getting these with any kind of consistency?

The docks on the left are wierd, seems when they are not the objective they are easy to hit but when the yellow arrow is there the ball always seems to just miss, gets there and doesn't drop. Is this just my imagination???

Tip for those who said you need the voices to hit the shark, watch the little lights near the gun there are four and they lihgt in sequence to correspond to the one, two, there, fire the voice says.

Really frustrating when the ball comes falling straight down the table for the middle of the flippers. Jerking the phone to one side does not seem to change the arc of the ball. It seems to me that any motion of the phone results in the ball jumping up the table a little.

Still trying to better my score, last I looked I was in the top 500 but when I set it I was in the top 100, lots of people have this figured out!

The voice and music settings are in the iPod/iPhone settings down the bottom next to the Niki control (at least on mine). I found this info in the Apps store blurb for The Deep. You still get the sound effects with your music.
