Look, We have been teased enough about “The Deep”! Are you ever going to release it, or, will it become vaporware? People do and will lose interest if you hold out too long. And then move on to something different. Lots of good Apps being released as we speak. Please release or give a release date!
July 8th, 2009 at 5:07 am (#)
It must be soon, with WWP being issued free to drum up enthusiasm. Success! I’m on board.

Amazing!
I’ve had all three gens. of iPhone, so I’ve been reading app reviews from

I’ve NEVER seen such excitement, anxiety, and downright addictive
“gotta’ get my fix” anticipation over ANY app release!
I’m right there with y’all!

Best pinball game on Iphone!! keep the good work coming..
July 16th, 2009 at 2:39 pm (#)
WW pinball is one of the best apps made so far. Its not one of those pointless apps people will delete in 30 seconds. This is the only app ive actually launched consistantly will out getting board of. Cheers to the developers, and i hope this new game keeps up to par.

Goes to show their customer support comes last. Can’t even say when to expect a release of the new game that’s been hyped up way too long. I’m sick of checking back and seeing zero progress or response. Good luck!
July 18th, 2009 at 10:50 pm (#)
SAME! I’ve given up on this game now, it’s ridiculous and clear they couldn’t care less about people or responding! I’ve got to say, I’m not bothered about this any more, and definately won’t be getting it unless they actually respond or release it SOON!

Very cool app, probably the best there is. I recommend giving the top 50 high scores on WWP a free copy! I wouldn’t be one as I’m currently like 9015, I can’t imagine how to score nearly 2 billion like the current top ranked player.
July 28th, 2009 at 11:57 am (#)
Will you guys relax, what do you want….? They already said when they sent it to APPLE!!! they have no control now and also have no idea. If you bothered reading the homepage you would have saw…

It looks awesome! Wwp was great! Can’t wait for this one to come out.
July 31st, 2009 at 10:23 pm (#)
The App Store is taking a LONG time to submit this for public sales…..
August 6th, 2009 at 3:37 pm (#)
it seems that the first time you play you get high scores then it no longer happens……why is this? at least you cant cheat like on wild west where you shake the phone to stall the ball and get the counter going AWOL!!!!!!
August 6th, 2009 at 10:35 pm (#)
I can’t get past the blue mission. I noticed you need to pass all 3 stages of each mission or you start at the beginning of that particular color mission when a ball is lost. This makes things very difficult. I can’t seem to figure out the treasure chest as well. How do I get enough power? It would be nice if someone could post a strategy guide : )
August 17th, 2009 at 6:56 am (#)
Questions/comments on the game (which I love, BTW):
1. It’s very unclear how to accurately shoot the Shark targets. Please explain how to aim.
2. Some of the Mission slots are near impossible to aim for. In particular, the Dock shots.
3. Scoring seems a bit uneven. The Adventure shot on the left scores nothing. Only clear way to get consistently high points is to open the Treasure Chest.
4. Firing with the right flipper is kind of boring. If the Dock shots were a bit easier, I wouldn’t make this complaint.
5. In updates, it says you can listen to iTunes while playing. How?
Thanks,
Dan
August 25th, 2009 at 2:26 am (#)
A few questions,
How do you do these? I cannot find how anywhere. Before I play I flip over to the left screen and see these, but it won’t let me change them.
Camera on/off
Voice on/off
music on/off
August 26th, 2009 at 8:22 am (#)
pause — touch the score at the top. pausing and quitting doesn’t help. huge downside that you can’t quit and resume.
for those of you asking for camera, voice, and music controls — those are 1.1 features and have not been approved by apple yet. hopefully it will come soon!
also, for those having issues where the game gets jerky — it usually happens for me if i pause and then the phone goes to sleep or if a low battery reminder comes up. in order to get rid of it i just pause the game, put the phone to sleep, and wake it again. works like a charm, but clearly something weird that probably could be fixed.

Okay… a few answers from another gamer who cares.
1. The update info on the news page to the left is alerting us to future features that are forthcoming. (The update is submitted to Apple but still hasn’t been posted as of yet.) Music on/off… voice on/off, play with iTunes music, etc. These will come with the next update release.
2. How to shoot the shark: As the arrow aims back and forth, you can change/toggle the direction by alternating the left and right paddles. With a little practice, you can wait for the arrow to approach the highlighted marker and then rapidly alternate the paddles to make the arrow flutter in the general direction of the target. It’s not perfect but you can make hit it more that 50% of the time, (and the score is worth it).
3. To “increase power” to open the treasure chest: Increasing power refers to sending the ball up the shoot at a high speed. The best way I’ve found is to first aim just below the Treasure Chest ramp missing it, but allowing the ball to shoot up and over the top. It usually hits the “Get Mission Code Calculator” at the top and then falls down the passage to the left. The ball then rolls down onto your left paddle at an increased speed. If you flip your paddle as the ball reaches the mid-point, you’ll launch it up the ramp at a fast enough pace to trigger the lock on the chest which gives you about 500,000 points.
3. “Keep to Checkpoints”… This took a while to figure out, but it’s actually simple. When your ball strikes the “Get Mission” box at the top left of the screen, she announces, “You have got the mission,” at which point a yellow pointer illuminates somewhere on the pinball table. When your ball passes over the sensor that the marker is pointing to, you will hear, “Stage One is Complete”, etc. You must then hit the “Get Mission” box again to get a new mission (yellow marker). Once you’ve struck all three, your Mission is completed and you advance to the next level. (I’m pretty sure this is the case.)
Have fun and good luck…
Btw: I’ve reached a high score of 14,000,000+ and felt pretty good about it, but I have no idea how people are logging scores like 58,000,000??!! Any tips from some of the top scorers would be WELCOME!!
September 1st, 2009 at 5:19 pm (#)
I have posted a score of 28m.
Here is my feedback:
I have completed mission 2 and only got part of the way through mission 3. Has anybody completed the four missions and what does this achieve? I have not noticed any significant points increase for completing missions or passing checkpoints.
The treasure chest needs to close quicker than it does in order to allow for direct rehits. Too many times I send another ball up at good speed and the chest is still open. In additon, if you send a ball there when the chest is closed and it doesn’t open, I noticed you still get some points (up to 100,000).
The sunken ship is disappointing as it is very difficult to put up good scores. My max was probably 35,000 x $4, which is only 140,000 points – poor. It’s complete luck.
The shark fishing is probably where the most points are won (and lost). You need to have the sound on and perfect your timing for 500,000 points each time.
The refill station seems to adds a multiplier to both the treasure chest and shark fishing points total. Keep and eye on your score when these are lit and you will notice it.
The adventure on the left is poor also as it only gives 50,000 points for a successful run.
Opening up the sunken ship stops the whirlpool.
I have not yet figured out why sometimes when you go up the treasure chest ramp the whirlpool boosts you on occasions. Not sure why this happens but suspect it may be when the refill station is full?
If you lose a ball down the left or right side, as it rolls down, if you time it right you can recover the ball by shaking the phone. If the ball is on the left, leave the left flipper up and shake the phone once and you may be able to bounce the ball up onto the right flipper again and back into play. Do the opposite if you drop a ball down the left.
Try to keep the ball on the left flipper as much as possible as far more points opportunities there than what comes from the right flipper.
Extra ball comes at 5m and 10m. If you still have all your lives they stack up so don’t worry. There are no further extra balls anywhere up to 28m.
This game is hugely flawed due to some of the above reasons, but very addictive. I would like to see a more complete instruction on how to score the most points.

It says that it is compatible with itouch, but Itunes won’t let me add it to my itouch and gives the error that it is only compatible with OS 3.0.
September 5th, 2009 at 9:23 pm (#)
refill station ??
a previoius commment mentions this but WHERE IS THE REFILL STATION
The refill station seems to adds a multiplier to both the treasure chest and shark fishing points total. Keep and eye on your score when these are lit and you will notice it.

Buzz, it’s the Deep Dockyard. Fourth picture down from the top of the screen.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:22 am (#)
Here is the answer to this question:
————————-
I have not yet figured out why sometimes when you go up the treasure chest ramp the whirlpool boosts you on occasions. Not sure why this happens but suspect it may be when the refill station is full?
———————–
If you hit all three lights to the left of the treasure chest ramp, the whirlpool will boost the ball enough to open up the treasure chest.

come on speak to i-tunes and sort out the update for The Deep Pinball
only purchased it as it said update in few days that was weeks ago
September 16th, 2009 at 6:21 am (#)
The updates have just come through, now I can’t find the instuctions on how to activate these features. Any clues?
September 16th, 2009 at 9:10 pm (#)
How in the world do you toggle sounds? Hiding the options seems ridiculous. Otherwise the game is awesome.
September 16th, 2009 at 10:31 pm (#)
I’M FRUSTRATED TOO… Been waiting for weeks to be able to turn off the annoying voices and listen to my own music during gameplay. Please respond, and let us know if this is possible and how.
For video mode, if you do the “finger pinch” or “finger stretch” on the screen the game will toggle between following the ball zoomed in, and showing a static full-screen mode. That’s a nice addition. But shouldn’t there be an “Options” or “Settings” screen somewhere??!
Sigh.
September 17th, 2009 at 12:40 am (#)
Settings…
September 17th, 2009 at 6:45 am (#)
A section on this web page would be OK for the option settings, seeing it takes so long to get upgrade through apps store.
September 18th, 2009 at 7:12 am (#)
The voice and music settings are in the iPod/iPhone settings down the bottom next to the Niki control (at least on mine). I found this info in the Apps store blurb for The Deep. You still get the sound effects with your music.
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:54 pm (#)
I have been addicted to this since it came out. Best score of 30M and can usually complete the green and blue missions, sometimes yellow and only once got all four done.
I like the tougher stages you get in the yellow and red missions but seem to always get stuck in the green or blue when the goal is to clear the three drop targets above the whirlpool. Just getting the ball on whirlpool is difficult and seems like a matter of luck. Then you get one or two chances to shake it and hope it hits the drop targets. Any hints on getting these with any kind of consistency?
The docks on the left are wierd, seems when they are not the objective they are easy to hit but when the yellow arrow is there the ball always seems to just miss, gets there and doesn’t drop. Is this just my imagination???
Tip for those who said you need the voices to hit the shark, watch the little lights near the gun there are four and they lihgt in sequence to correspond to the one, two, there, fire the voice says.
Really frustrating when the ball comes falling straight down the table for the middle of the flippers. Jerking the phone to one side does not seem to change the arc of the ball. It seems to me that any motion of the phone results in the ball jumping up the table a little.
Still trying to better my score, last I looked I was in the top 500 but when I set it I was in the top 100, lots of people have this figured out!
September 27th, 2009 at 9:25 pm (#)
I cannot download this app to my ipod touch. I’ve tried numerous times and it won’t work. I’m really aggravated that I paid for this app and didn’t receive it.Please help me get it!!!!!

I wonder if there is a way to activate a pause of some sort that allows me to continue a game if I have to leave the app for a different activity or answer the phone?
Thanks, Tom
October 2nd, 2009 at 4:29 am (#)
Just to clarify, I know how to pause the game, I just have to start all over, even after I pause it, if I leave the App or answer the phone.
Thanks, Tom
October 23rd, 2009 at 3:03 pm (#)
Jeff – you say that you have once completed all missions. What is the reward for this? Thanks.
October 28th, 2009 at 8:04 pm (#)
I think completing the red mission is worth at least a million, not really sure exactly how much. But after that there are no more stages or missions for points. Almost seemsl like you are better off not completing the red mission so if you lose a ball you can complete 2 more stages for credit on the next ball.
I find it hard to balance completing missions and going for points. I have scored over 30 mil only completing the green mission and I have scored as little as 20 mil completing all 4.
I think the balance is to focus on points 70 % of the time and take the stages if they happen naturally.

Still looking for tips on getting those drop targets above the whirlpool.
February 22nd, 2010 at 3:43 am (#)
I like this game a lot!
Only game I play in my iPhone frequently.
As some other users said, it lacks logic in some spots not being directly accessible.
It could use acceleromter a little more (with vibrating feedback) to help avoid balls between flippers.
An official Tips n Tricks page would be very good to help users improve their scores.
Thanks for keeping improving this great game!!!
HC

Those drop targets above the whirlpool are worth going for, as they will reset the gates on the side alleys. I often find after going down the side alley, that the whirlpool will help you to get those drop targets. You need all 3 lit to reset the gates.
great game – but I’m still struggling to get more than 14 million….

First off this is a brilliant game, my favourite. Good on you all who created it!
Secondly I was wondering how many times you have to complete the four coloured missions? I have done all four so the ring in the centre flashes and done the first again on top of that.. If I do it again would that be the missions finished? What kind of reward does it gain you? Thanks again for a brilliant game!
